Request a consult
Fill this in and it opens a prefilled email to the practice, which you send. Nothing is transmitted from this page and nothing is stored on this site. Consults are free: fifteen minutes for therapy, thirty for supervision or EMDR consultation. If you would rather write your own, the address is info@findingbalancecounselingpllc.com.
Please do not put personal information in this form. It builds an ordinary email, and ordinary email is not a secure channel. No clinical detail, no diagnoses, no date of birth, no insurance or policy numbers, and nothing you would not want sitting in an inbox. Your name, a way to reach you, and a few words about what you are looking for is all that is needed. The rest belongs in the consult, where it is confidential.
What you are asking about
What happens next
- Someone reads it and sends times. Usually within a couple of working days.
- A free consult. Fifteen minutes for therapy, thirty for supervision or EMDR consultation, by Zoom or phone.
- If it is a fit, you get the paperwork. The five client forms and a first appointment. If it is not a fit, you get a referral rather than a polite brush-off.
Booking an associate instead
The practice's LPC Associates each run their own scheduling and billing, and each one has a direct email and phone number on their card. Writing to them directly is faster than going through this form. Fees run $100 to $150 a session, with limited sliding-scale places from $70.
Why this is not a normal web form
Ordinary contact forms post your message to a server somewhere. For a counseling practice that is the wrong default, so this site does not do it: the form builds an email in your own mail app and you decide whether to send it. Nothing reaches a third party, and nothing about you is stored here.
If this is urgent
This practice does not provide emergency care. Call 911 if you are in immediate danger, or call or text 988 for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
Questions about booking
How long before someone replies?
Usually a couple of working days. Email is the fastest route into the practice, and office hours are by appointment rather than fixed, so a reply may not arrive the same day.
Is the consult really free?
Yes, and it commits you to nothing. Fifteen minutes for therapy, thirty for supervision or EMDR consultation. Its purpose is to work out whether this is the right fit, which includes concluding that it is not.
What should I not put in this form?
Clinical detail, diagnoses, and anything you would not want sitting in an ordinary email inbox. A sentence about what you are looking for is all that is needed to get a consult booked.
Can I request a specific associate?
Yes. Say so in the “what are you looking for” box, or write to them directly using the email on their card on the associates page, which is quicker.
How can I learn more?
The frequently asked questions page collects everything that is not specific to one service: fees and insurance, how the methods differ, complex PTSD, what Texas requires of a counselor, and how to start. If the answer is not there either, a free consult is the quickest way to get one.
