Reem Glasco, LPC-S
Reem Glasco is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor in Texas, license 66562, licensed in Texas since 2010 and holding supervisor status since 2016. She is a NARM therapist, a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and an EMDRIA Approved Consultant, certified in EMDR.
She works with young adults, college-age clients and adults on developmental trauma, C-PTSD, anxiety, panic attacks, depression, and the kind of procrastination that does not respond to discipline. She practices from Austin, Texas: online across the state, and outdoors when the work asks for more than a screen.
How Reem works
Most of what brings people here was learned somewhere, and learned for a reason. All three methods start from that, and none of them asks you to push through.
NARM
An invitation to get curious about a pattern rather than to fight it. Where did I learn this? What was it doing for me then? And if I am present enough to notice it happening, what choice do I actually have? The answers tend to arrive through the felt sense rather than through analysis, which is why the work is slower than advice and why it holds.
IFS-informed EMDR
The protective parts of you are consulted before anything is processed, and most of the emphasis sits in the preparation, where that agreement gets built. It is weighted toward stabilization rather than excavation, which is what acute stress, ongoing stress, overwhelm and loss actually need.
Somatic Experiencing
Shock trauma met a little at a time, slow and gentle, building your window of tolerance rather than testing it. A nervous system learns resilience at the pace it can hold, and not faster.
Outdoors, when it helps
Reem teaches effortless self-care through walk and mindful therapy, outdoors, which for some people is the difference between talking about something and being able to stay with it.
For therapists: she has supervised LPC Associates since 2016, online anywhere in Texas, and runs mindful trail retreats for interns, associates and therapists, where the subject is being present and what gets in the way of it.
