EMDR consultation
Reem Glasco is an EMDRIA Approved Consultant, certified in EMDR and trained in the ASSYST-I, PRECI and IGTP-OTS protocols. Individual consultation is online and starts with a free consult to check fit. The emphasis is IFS-informed EMDR for phases one and two, with Somatic Experiencing, Brainspotting and NARM interweaves where they help.

You are working toward certification and need individual hours from a full Approved Consultant. Bring live cases; the hours and the help are the same hours.
The one whose processing keeps collapsing
Preparation looks adequate, then phase four floods or flatlines. Usually a protective part was never consulted, and the fix is upstream of where it went wrong.
The one trained years ago
You did Basic Training, used it for a while, and drifted. Common, and a fine place to start. We rebuild from the preparation phases rather than from the manual.
The consultant in training
You are certified and building toward Approved Consultant. What you need is consultation on your consulting, which is a different conversation from case work.
What an hour looks like
Bring a case, ideally one that is not going well. Recordings are welcome and not required. Most of the hour is spent on the part of the work before reprocessing, because that is where most of the trouble starts.
Your own responses in the room are treated as clinical information rather than as something to manage privately. If a client's material is doing something to your nervous system, that is data about the case as well as about you.
Individual hours are scheduled as you need them rather than on a fixed rota, which suits accumulating twenty of them around a full caseload.
The first conversation is free and exists to check fit. If what you need is closer to supervision, training or a different consultant, that is a useful thing to find out in thirty minutes.
What EMDRIA asks for, and where these hours fit
Certification is not a course you finish. It is a set of conditions EMDRIA checks when you apply, and consultation is the one that takes longest to accumulate. Here is the shape of it, so you can see what you already have.

Reem is a full EMDRIA Approved Consultant, so hours with her count toward the whole twenty and toward the five that a Consultant in Training cannot supply. Certification is granted for two years and renewed. These are EMDRIA's criteria rather than this practice's, and they change, so check the current list with EMDRIA (opens in a new tab) before you plan around them.

Do these hours count toward EMDR certification?
Yes. EMDRIA requires 20 consultation hours, at least 10 of them individual, and at least 5 from a full Approved Consultant rather than a Consultant in Training. Reem is a full Approved Consultant, so her hours count toward all of it. The table above has the rest of the requirements, and EMDRIA sets them, so confirm the current list with them.
How much does EMDR consultation cost?
$185 for an individual online hour. LPC Associates under Reem's supervision receive individual EMDR consults at no additional cost.
I am not in Texas. Can we still work together?
Consultation is a peer professional relationship rather than clinical care, so it is not limited to Texas in the way therapy and LPC supervision are. Check what your own licensing board expects of your consultation arrangements.
What if my EMDR training was years ago?
That is common and it is a fine place to start. Bring a case you feel stuck on and we will rebuild confidence from the preparation phases forward rather than starting from the manual.
