Privacy policy
This page covers this website: what it collects, what it does not, and who else sees anything when you visit. Last updated 29 October 2026.
It does not cover your clinical record. How information from therapy or supervision is kept, used and disclosed is set out in the practice's Notice of Privacy Practices and the Limits of Confidentiality notice, both given to you before your first session. Those are the documents that govern your care. This one governs a web page.

What happens when you visit
This site is a set of static pages served by Cloudflare. Like every web server, Cloudflare records basic request information: the IP address the request came from, the page requested, the time, and the browser's user-agent string. That is used to serve the site and to protect it from abuse. It is not combined with anything else and it is not used to build a profile of you.
Fonts
Two typefaces load from Google Fonts. That means Google's servers receive your IP address and browser details when a page loads, as they would for any site using the service. No other third party receives anything.
What the pages themselves store
Nothing, with one exception. The seven-step practice can save what you write in it so the page remembers where you were. That is stored by your own browser, on your own device, and never leaves it. It is not sent anywhere, it is not readable by this practice, and the page has a button that deletes it.
The appointment form
The form on the request an appointment page does not submit anything. It assembles what you typed into a message and opens it in your own email program, where you can read it, change it, or close it without sending. Nothing reaches this website, and nothing is stored here either way.
That is deliberate. A web form on a therapy practice's site is a tempting place to write something private, and the safest version is one that cannot keep what you write.
Email is not secure
Ordinary email travels through servers neither of us controls. Use it to arrange a consult, not to describe what you are dealing with. Anything clinical belongs in the session.
Children
This practice sees adults aged 18 and over, and this site is not directed at children. No information is knowingly collected from anyone under 18.
Your clinical record
Records of therapy and supervision are held in the practice's clinical record system, not on this website. They are protected by HIPAA and by Texas law, and the practice's Notice of Privacy Practices sets out how they may be used and disclosed, and the narrow circumstances in which disclosure is required without your consent.
You can ask for a copy of your record in writing, and it is provided electronically within 15 business days of the request. To have records sent to another clinician, a doctor or a school, use the authorization for release of information.
A complaint about a Texas licensee goes to the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council on 1-800-821-3205.
Questions about privacy on this site
Does this website use cookies or track me?
No. There is no analytics package, no advertising pixel and no cookie set by this site. The only third party involved in loading a page is Google Fonts, which receives your IP address and browser details in order to serve two typefaces.
If I fill in the appointment form, where does it go?
Into your own email program, as a draft you can edit or discard. It is not submitted to this website, not stored here, and not passed to any form service. If you close the draft without sending it, nobody sees it, including this practice.
Is what I type into the self-care practice page private?
Yes. It is saved by your browser on your own device so the page can remember where you were, and it never leaves that device. This practice cannot see it. The page has a control that deletes everything saved.
Does this policy cover my therapy records?
No. This page is about the website. Your clinical record is governed by the practice's Notice of Privacy Practices, which you receive before your first session, together with the Limits of Confidentiality notice setting out when disclosure is legally required.
How will I know if this policy changes?
The date at the top of this page changes. Material changes to how the site handles information will be described here rather than made quietly.
How can I learn more?
The frequently asked questions page collects everything that is not specific to one service: fees and insurance, how the methods differ, complex PTSD, what Texas requires of a counselor, and how to start. If the answer is not there either, a free consult is the quickest way to get one.

Therapy consults are fifteen minutes. Supervision and EMDR consultation consults are thirty. Both are free and commit you to nothing.
