LPC supervision and trauma therapy in Austin, Texas

Reem Glasco, LPC-S, is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor in Austin, Texas, licensed since 2010 and holding supervisor status since 2016. She is an EMDRIA Approved Consultant, a NARM therapist and a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner. She sees adults and young adults for developmental trauma, C-PTSD, anxiety, panic and depression, and supervises LPC Associates across the state.

The clinical center is IFS-informed EMDR: processing that consults a person's protective parts instead of overriding them, with Somatic Experiencing setting the pace. Supervision and consultation run online statewide, and some of the work happens on a trail or with horses.

It is the same lens whether you are a client or a supervisee. The difference is which side of the chair you are on.

Four ways Reem works with clients

Reem sees a small number of adults and young adults for developmental trauma, C-PTSD, anxiety, panic and depression. Most new clients start with one of the practice's six LPC Associates. Each brings their own training, listed on their card, and each is supervised by Reem, four hours a month, so a second experienced clinician is thinking about your case. Fees are lower and openings sooner.

Something to try before we ever meet

For many people a longer out-breath than in-breath is settling, and one minute is enough to find out whether it is for you. If attending to your breath feels uncomfortable, skip the circle: notice your feet on the floor, or look around the room and name three things you can see. Stop whenever you like.

If the circle distracts you, ignore it and count: in for four, hold for two, out for six.

Effort-less Self-Care: 7 Easy Steps to Calm and Connection

Breath is one of the seven, in its own form there. The others are the same size: find a comfortable space, face the light, feel the body, name the emotion, ground through the senses. Each step pairs a watercolor with room to write beside it, so the workbook and the journal are one volume. Nothing in it needs fixing, and none of it takes long.

Start with a conversation

Supervision and consultation both begin with a free thirty-minute consult. Therapy begins with fifteen minutes. No obligation either way.
